News From the Kepler Mission

UNL McNair Scholars have had the good fortune to hear Professor Gibor Basri, Vice-Chancellor for Equity and Inclusion at UC Berkeley, speak two years in a row at the annual California McNair Scholars Symposium. Beyond Dr. Basri’s position as Vice-Chancellor, he is also an Astrophysicist, whose work with NASA’s Kepler Mission has been in the news lately. Dr. Basri’s research aims to answer the question of how many earth-like planets exist in our solar system.
